We are a long established local practice with a wealth of experience caring for patients of all ages.

Here at St Enda’s Family Practice our mission is to continue to provide excellent healthcare to those in our community through a model of general practice based on caring and supportive relationships.

Dr Declan Cantwell

Graduated in medicine from RCSI in 1991. He completed his vocational training in General Practice in 1996 in Edinburgh . After returning to Ireland in 1997 he gained further experience working as an assistant in general practice in Wexford and Templeogue before joining the practice in Rathfarnham in 2003 . He has completed Diploma in Obstetrics in 1995 and M.I.C.G.P in 2004 . He has a wide experience in general practice and a special interest in cryotherapy . Outside of work he enjoys tennis , sailing and reading .

Dr Tommy Fitzgerald

Graduated from UCD class of 2009. After completing intern year in SVUH, travelled to Australia to work in Emergency Medicine for the year. On return began vocational training in general practice in Ireland, qualifying in 2015. Training included work in psychiatry, emergency medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, general medicine, geriatrics, paediatrics and 2 years of general practice. Special interests include paediatrics and musculo-skeletal injury. Has higher diploma in musculoskeletal assessment & management from RCSI. Specialist skills include joint injections, cryotherapy, Implanon insertion and removal.

Dr Anne O Flynn

Graduate of UCC class of 1986. Joined the practice in 1994 after attaining MICGP and MRCGP. Ann has also achieved postgraduate diplomas in Child Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Family Planning, and Dermatology, Special interests include Womens Health, Child Health, and Dermatology. Outside of work Anne enjoys golf, gardening and choral singing

Nurse Elaine Young

Dr Emer Allen

Completed her medical degree in RCSI in 1998. She worked in paediatrics in Ireland and the UK for six years. She completed the RCSI GP training scheme in 2011 following various rotations in emergency medicine, psychiatry, paediatrics and medicine for the elderly. Emer worked full time in GP until 2018. She now combines her GP work with her role as a senior medical officer in Public Health. Emer has a special interest in paediatrics and has additional qualifications in paediatrics, medicine for the elderly and women’s health.
